Right now we have the Bengals and the Texans playing and at 8PM comes the Lions at the Saints. Tomorrow will be the Falcons and the Giants, and then the Steelers and the Broncos. I love the playoffs!! Win or go home. We'll see who's going home after this weekend.
Really doesn't matter to me, although I would like to see the Lions advance, just because. But the Saints are going to be tough to beat, especially at home.

Cincinnati is out. Texans won 31-10. Wanted to see the Bengals go further, but happy for the Texans. First playoff appearance in franchise history.
And the Lions are sent packing by the Saints losing 45-28. I was pulling for the Lions to win, just because they've never been to the Super Bowl, but Brees and the Saints were too much.
Oh well, on to today's games.

Up first today, the Falcons at the NY Giants. I'm gonna pick the Giants in this one. Matt Ryan is a little inconsistent and he'll be at the Giants playing outside and not in the dome in Atlanta. The Giants may have barely made it into the playoffs, but they're still a good team and they have Eli Manning at QB. My pick is the Giants by 10.

Won by 22 points, good show. Ok, lets see who goes on after the Steelers/Broncos game. I hate them, but I think the Steelers are going to win this one.

Steelers are out!! Great game too, Tebow threw a td in Ot to win. New OT rules, so he needed to. So glad the Steelers are done.

New OT rules? What?

Heck if I know how it works, I just know the Broncos needed to score on their first OT drive and they did. Good stuff. Seriously, the new rule for OT has me lost.

Was part of the lockout agreement I believe. Agreed, leave it alone if it works. My wife was explaining it to me at the end of the game.

Apparently the league got tired of the team that wins the coin toss in OT usually winning the game by a field goal. So now, both teams get a possession. With the exception that if the team that get's the ball first scores a TD on their possession, which Tebow did last night. I guess it makes sense, kinda.

No it doesn't. A field goal is a valid way to win. If your defense can't stop them from getting within range you deserve to lose.

Yeah but the percentage of teams winning the game that won the coin toss in OT is lopsided. It almost guaranteed the coin toss winning team the game. This makes it more like college, both teams get a shot with the ball. If the Broncos had only gotten a field goal, the Steelers would have had a shot. Sucks when the game comes down to the flip of a coin. Even with a great D, sometimes you can't stop a field goal.

Then you deserve to lose.
