Found it on On Demand. Probably the greatest Hitchcock movie out there, at least to me. Vertigo would be a close second for me.
Great movie the definitely stands the test of time. Definitely should not have been remade, IMO.

We pretend that remake never happened.
Definitely a classic that has aged well. Can't believe I had never seen this movie until a few months ago.

You're entitled to not like it. I am curious as to what you dislike about the film.

Unlike these fine folks posting before me, I DON'T think you're allowed to have a differing opinion! SO NOW LOVE THIS MOVIE OR... or... Well, since I'm talking out my ass, I have nothing. So carry on not enjoying the movie, that's fine with me.

its just not for me. Im not denying its a great concept, and the whole keeping his mother 'alive' thing was messed up yes. Its just not my kind of film. A horror film for me has to scare me, make me afraid to leave the lights off and go to bed alone, and/or gross me out to the point of nausea. If Im still thinking about how 'horrible' it was days after watching it, then to me, thats a good horror movie. Psycho does none of those things. psycho is one of those films that because its "a classic" it holds some god like status in the movie world and people are supposed to like it just because of that word. Dont get me wrong I dont hate it, and Im happy to watch it, i just dont think its as wonderful as the rest of the world of horror buffs do.

It's kind of a funny movie, in that it's a taut thriller at the beginning, and then turns into a psychological thriller at the end. I can see how it's not favored as a "horror" movie. Takes a lot to build up certain scenes, and some aren't really so much horror scary as they are messing with your head scary. This is a movie you kind of have to get into to get something out of it. I get the not liking it much.
