Don't know what promotion this was from, but Hogan is Terry "The Hulk" Boulder here and a similar angle was used during Hulks heel run in the WWF around 80-81.
Way to set up heat for a match between them.

Back then an Arm Wrestling Contest made sense. But to use it today just doesn't work. The fanbase and its mentality has changed and for me, this just doesn't work as a setup anymore.
Still, awesome footage.

I agree that it wouldn't work today. But, as a kid seeing this monster Hulk Hogan first come in and bloody Andre,(not with a table in the WWF but a loaded elbow pad), I wanted to see Hogan pay dearly.
And he did at the Shea Stadium show.
Kayfabe times were the best, to me.
