A really good series of films (minus the last atrocious one) that starts off serious, then becomes quite comedic.
Sleepaway Camp - 1983
"Slightly disturbed and painfully shy Angela Baker is sent away to summer camp with her cousin. Not long after Angela's arrival, things start to go horribly wrong for anyone with sinister or less than honorable intentions."
A good slasher with some memorable kills. The ending is one of the creepiest I've ever seen.
Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers - 1988
"Angela Baker has undergone years of therapy, electro-shock and sexual reassignment surgeries, and finally landed herself a job in the last place she should be working - camp rolling hills. She has an old fashioned approach as to how camp should be, and an old familiar deadly way of making sure that those who don't follow her rules don't get to come back next summer."
From serious to silly! This movie is chock full of cool kills and hilariously bad jokes. A very good horror comedy.
Sleepaway Camp 3: Teenage Wasteland - 1989
"Angela is back, in the form of an angry inner-city camper on the hunt for blood. Camp New Horizons, on the recycled grounds of the former murders, intends to pair high class teens with underclass counterparts. Angela, however, has a different plan. Will it be door number one, number two, or number three?"
Shot back to back with part 3, this one isn't as good as the first 2, but still a fun time. The kills aren't as good, but it still has some good humor in it.
Return To Sleepaway Camp - 2008
I already put this in the pits of hell, and for good reason. One of the worst films I've ever seen, and a complete embarrassment to the series.
All in all, the first 3 are awesome slasher films I would recommend to any horror fan.

2 and 3 are hilarious good times. That first one is legitimate creepy.
Don't know if I'm willing to watch that last one...

I couldn't put myself through that last one again. That fat bastard is the worst main protagonist I can recall in a film. Not to mention the death scenes are so terrible. Everything about that movie was done wrong.

I have the first one somewhere, and I know I've seen one of the sequels...I think it was 2. I know I've never seen the 4th one, I'd remember that.

There were plans for an actual sequel called "Sleepaway Camp 4: The Survivor," but it never got finished. They did record some footage for it and it was a bonus disc in a now OOP Sleepaway Camp Survival Kit box set.

Seriously? I'm honestly shocked to hear that. Is anyone at least selling them used for cheap?

I can't do eBay right now. Most places don't take checks.
