"The Burning Moon centers on two bedtime stories that a delinquent brother reads his kid sister. These disturbingly morbid stories focus on a serial killing blind date and a murderous, psychotic priest."
I've heard about this film for a long time and wanted to see it. I bought ita little less than a year ago I believe and finally got around to watching it today. What a letdown this movie was. I will say that for a shot on shitteo film, the effects are really good. That's the only praise I can give this turd.
There are so many scenes that drag on and even if you don't think too hard, you realize none of this crap makes much sense. The older brother is a drug addict and completely irresponsible asshole, and yet the parents see fit to leave him alone with his little sister?
In the first story, a girl runs home after she finds out the guy she went on a date with is an escapee from a mental hospital, and she doesn't think to call the police the second she gets home? Even before that, the guy throws a severed head onto the hood of another persons car, and we find out later that guy is a cop. WHY DIDN'T HE CHASE AND ARREST HIM RIGHT AWAY INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR HIM TO MURDER AN ENTIRE FAMILY?! How are 4 people in a house and nobody hears anyone else getting brutally murdered in the next room? Why does the story go on for another 4 minutes when everything is resolved!?!?
In story 2, everyone accuses the farmer of the murders going on. Why? It's never explained why everyone in the village hates him. The person doing the murders is a priest, but why is he worshiping the Devil? Is he only pretending to be a priest to gain people's trust so he can murder them? Why did a demon visit him as a child? Why is the farmer brought back to life to send torturous thoughts to the person who killed him, but not the other people who beat him and payed to have him killed?
WHY IS ANY OF THIS ish HAPPENING AND WHY IS NOTHING EXPLAINED!?!? What a piece of ish.

Complete waste of time. That video got me to buy it, but I wouldn't wish this travesty of film making on anyone.

Watching this one on and off on Youtube Tomas. So far, it has some OK gore...you can tell this movie had a low budget, lol. The story is pretty bad...I read that the end of the second story is a ton of gore, that might be the best part of the movie. If it weren't for the gore, I think I would have stopped watching by now.

The gore isn't bad. Since it is a SOV film, I cut it some slack. Even by those standards though, this is still a terrible movie.
