"The film follows Ben (Gardner) and Mickey (Adam Cronheim), two former baseball players with clashing personalities, as they trek through a bleak landscape overrun with the walking dead searching for a glimmer of hope. With the emphasis placed less on the zombies and more on the dynamic between the two diametrically opposite main characters, The Battery is an incredibly ambitious film that defies convention and is loaded with emotion and a sense of sentimentality not often seen in your traditional zombie flick. It’s also proof positive that a great movie is made through passion and dedication, not a huge budget or crazy special effects." www.dreadcentral.com/news/64723/new-official-trailer-6k-zombie-film-battery
This movie was made on a $6000 budget.
Releasing this June on VOD and digital.

"On this episode of The Walking Dead..."
See, I actually like this idea, always had, and think it should be explored in more avenues, such as this. I'll be checking this out in some fashion.

Looks like it's filmed very well for such a small budget. Definitely interested in checking this one out.

It really does look well made. And I love the title's baseball references. Adds to it.

Looks like a cover to a graphic novel. Which this would work well with for as well.

In these days of way too damn many zombie films, this one definitely sticks out.

Now if only we could find actors and fund the story we were talking about recently. I think it would be on a similar level.

I think so too. We;d make a movie with identifiable and enjoyable characters. That's a lost art these days. Everyone has the "Well they're gonna die anyway so we can make them unlikeable assholes and blank slates" attitude and it either ruins films outright or makes them less than they could have been.

If that's the type of convo we can expect from the film, it'll be worth watching.

I've read mixed reviews for this a while back, but this is still something I'd be interested in seeing.
