Finally got around to it. Awesome movie, definitely left it open for more. Still love to see the fabled Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash if the powers that be are listening.

This was a great horror comedy. Lots of action, lots of humor. Just a good time all around. I only wish they had kept Kane Hodder as Jason, but Ken Kirzinger did a fine job.

I think he was a better fit for Jason here because he was a bit smaller. Allowed Freddy to look a little bit more of an acceptable challenger to him. Otherwise it would have looked a bit off, like a wrestling match between Jack Evans and the Big Show.
I love watching this film. Just a good time that paid fine tribute to both characters.

It was neat to see that they found something reasonable for Jason to be afraid of. It made perfect sense and allowed a sense of balance to the fight.

Makes sense he would be afraid of water. It's killed him enough times.

3 times during the course of his career if I'm not mistaken? In the original, part 7, and 8.

Makes sense to fear it, right? And it's a reasonable fear.

Yeah it is. If it killed him, then it makes perfect sense. Almost makes you wonder why they never explored that in some of the other sequels.

Good question. That fear he had at the end of 8 was great, wasn't it?

It was. Seeing him scared shitless as that tidal wave of sewage drowns and chokes him really was an effective way to end that film.

This film did a lot to humanize Jason, but in a good way, because in the end you were rooting for him to take out Freddy, who has no redeeming factors whatsoever. He's a bastard, where Jason is just a misguided, tortured youth turned homicidal zombie.

OK so after all these years since it's release, I finally watched it tonight. Cool ending but it would have been funny if when they fell into the water Jaws would have been there with his razor toothed gaping maw open to devour them both.

I liked it, thought it was pretty well done. Had my doubts when I first heard about it.

I watched this fairly recently and man...this did not age well at all. Still a lot of fun moments but damn, that cgi is atrocious looking now.
