Yup yup, the 1922 Murnau's version. Have any of you watched it and what did you think of this film. For some odd reason, I keep wanting to see this film, I don't expect anything amazing, but there's just something about it that attracts me to it. I guess it's probably the fact that it's considered the classic of the classics of horror films. Anyhow, tell me your impressions about this piece

Great movie. It was better once I realized it was silent and that my remote wasn't actually broken:) Just kidding. This is the classic of the classics. Love this movie.
Very atmospheric...films today could still learn a lesson in scary from this film.

Nosferatu was good, but to me, the best were the old Universal flicks. It's doesn't get much better than Lon Chaney Jr. in the original Wolfman.
I love TCM at Halloween. Great classics all day long.

I have a soft spot for Nosferatu. Short and silent, but the beginning of horror. But yes, the Universal films set the standard.

I am disgusted with myself, but I have nt yet watched this movie in all its entirety (Shame on me I know) I know its a classic and all but perhaps Im not cultured enough to enjoy it, or maybe Im too hooked on blood, gore and extreme disgustingness to appriciate it properly. I agree its very atmospheric though and I love how its such a contrast to what we would now consider a horror film. Its Interesting to see how things have progressed. (Or not as the case may be)

Don't feel bad. I couldn't get through Nosferatu for a long time. Funny now, but I actually found it boring in my younger days. But, when it clicked, boy did it. I could watch it repeatedly now, and love it every time. Funny how sometimes you just see things in a different way after time.

I loved it, but yes it takes some getting used to. But to me classic horror is so much better than the blood and guts horror of today.

I've loved this movie from the first time I saw it. To me it's still very creepy and a film that shows just how timeless a good horror film can be,
