That's it, it's gone too far!! I'm tired of two friends acting this way to each other and I have to do something!! I've stickied this thread. It's awesome.

What are you going to actually do long term, are you gonna buy a new one? I have credits and points all over the web, so let me know, I might be able to help you. I'll be picking up a labtop from PC Richards. They have one I really like on sale for 800, Staples has it for less, and PC Richards will match that price. PLUS, a rebate, and I like their coverage on items (why my TV and ACs came from there).

Well, I can't help you there, but they better treat you right. I will go to every affiliate and friend we have and say some really not nice stuff about them if not.
Really bad and not good stuff. For real.

I was able to transfer almost all of the rest of the comics I needed to transfer. I only lost about 5, and I couldn't find 1 (will soon enough). Only real problem I have is I'm missing 16 issues of Usagi Yojimbo, and those are HARD to find. And I like that series. When I want to get my samurai on, I read that.
Dunno if this computer will be good or not after tonight, but it's served me well, and I will miss it... by holding on to it because I can. You know, just in case. As a backup.

I still have my first one ever in the back bedroom. Hey, you never know when you'll need AOL or Windows 98 again, right?

Computer's working at the moment like it did a week ago. No CHKDSK or anything. Not slow at all. I'm... so confused!

You sure you don't have a virus? What security do you use? Not to bum you out, good that it's working and all, but that's just weird.

That happened with the last pair of headphones I had. The left ear started going out for a while, then a few hours later it worked as if nothing was wrong. Happened again a few weeks later, same result. Then a week ago, the RIGHT ear blew out. Strange.

If it was a virus, Norton's would have weeded it out, Dave. It's still having some slowdown issues, but nothing like when it was crashing all the time. A pain in my ass this has been.
I might get a diagnostic check done on this, but I know those CHKDSKs are done because there is a problem. See what's going on.

Oh...Norton.. But hey, I'm sure it works great for what you want it to...unless that involves being an antivirus.

Unless what's happening now is a virus. I'm not saying it is, you'd know better than me, but you should try Malwarebytes free scan. Just install it. Then get a better antivirus, Norton is a resource hog that isn't as good as some of the free ones. Truth brother, you can look it up. I use Microsoft Security Essentials, but you can use what you like.

I use what my Aunt pays for. She buys the 3 computer pack so me, my mom and her are all covered. I'll see when it comes to the new computer. But this thing is just all screwed up. Shut down 3 times on its own today. Hell, when it just shut down before it turned off my f*cking dvd player at the same time! That's not kosher.
