"Montag the Magnificent (Glover) is a master illusionist who performs at underground venues, selecting female volunteers from his rave-like audiences. To their hysteria, it appears he's dismembered their bodies, but his sleigh of hand has fooled them. However, female bodies show up dead from the same wounds performed on stage. Investigators are baffled, and the chase to find the killer begins."
Ugh, what a terrible remake. Hard to believe anybody could make an H.G. Lewis film WORSE, but they did just that. The effects aren't bad, there is nudity, and the noir style world is pretty interesting to look at. The story however, makes no damn sense and overall this is just a boring and pointless film.
I'm watching the original right now (and so far think it's leaps and bounds ahead of most anything else I've seen of his when it comes to how the direction and camerawork of the film is), can I borrow this horrible remake?
