So, it's that time of year again. October is just around the corner, and that means Halloween is just around the corner around the corner. A lot of people try (and succeed at) watching a movie a night leading up to Halloween, and I want to do that myself this year. But I need to make a schedule to do so, because if I don't have a plan set, I will be FUBAR whenever I go and look for a film to watch. All wishy washy and ish. So I am coming to you, my fine horror friends, to help me build but schedule of 31 films (at least) to watch this October.
When it comes to horror/slasher/suspense films, this is the list I got. Titles with strikes through them are films I just watched recently.
A Nightmare on Elm Street A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare Wes Craven's New Nightmare Freddy vs. Jason A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 Prom Night 1980 Descendant The Nurse 28 Days Later 28 Weeks Later 2001 Maniacs 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams (Rated) The Abominable Dr. Phibes Dr. Phibes Rises Again! The Genetic Opera (JUST LIKE THE BLOODY APE, DON'T YOU F*CKING DARE!) Reptilicus Return of the Living Dead

Unbreakable Vampire Hunter D Unearthed Zombie Zombieland Don't Answer the Phone Prime Evil (1988) Black Candles Evil Eye Creepers City of the Walking The Blob '58 Island of Lost Souls Lord of the Flies Godzilla Godzilla: King of Monsters
Welp, that's what I got. I need to somehow break that down to 31 movies (and I guess a few honorable mentions for weekends I have nothing left to do).
My idea right now is this.
1. The Blob (if I don't watch it before that). 2. Nightmare on Elm Street 1984 31. Eraserhead
Yeah, everything else is up in the air.

That's quite the list to whittle down. I'll think on it and post back when I get home from work. I'm going to do a 31 days of Halloween movie thing too this year, so I'm glad you started this thread. I'll probably just grab movies at random though, then wish halfway through I had watched something else, lol.

That's the thing. Even though at the moment I'm only working 2 hours (don't know if I'll find a second/another job at the time), and if I don't have a schedule I'll never get it done. Especially with all the other new shows I'll be watching on basic TV/cable (I watch too much ish).

I should give this a shot myself. More than half my films are horror, plus with Netflix, that opens up even more possibilities.

Really disappointed to find that Netflix streaming doesn't have either the 1956 or 1978 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It's weird the things they don't have streaming. Oh well, I can find them elsewhere.

Christ, I don't even want to think what I would do with Netflix streaming. Although I wish I had it now, would make it easier.

Been using it more often as of late. Definitely a lot of good (and horrible) things to choose from.

ish, I need to get that code you mentioned. Still, what I got is the dvds, and I need to use them. There are a lot of them there I haven't even watched yet (DVD wise, not movie wise).
Such as:
The Abominable Dr. Phibes Dr. Phibes Rises Again! Man Bites Dog Bloodlust The Creeping Terror Nosferatu (English) Nosferatu (German) Saw II The Blob '58 Island of Lost Souls Lord of the Flies Godzilla Godzilla: King of Monsters Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
Some of those are musts. I also need to figure out where to sprinkle the classics, like ANoES 84 and The Exorcist.

I think I'm gonna change my password on it tonight or tomorrow, so I'll let you have it then. Kinda regretting letting a certain coworker have my info.

I've seen everything I own, and something about Halloween and the movies being shown on TV does it for me, so I mostly watch those. TCM, AMC and MGM usually have excellent Halloween line ups, then IFC and SyFy. I'm usually pretty well off with those.

Beans Tomas. Dave, I got so many damn dvds I haven't watched because, well, I watch too much ish and don't take enough time to watch all my dvds. And I keep adding to it (although this Summer I've done so much, much less, trying to keep that up).

I went from literally owning only 3 films to not having anywhere to put them. The hell?

Man, the last 6 years my DVD collection probably increased 10 times what it was. And I've only started buying dvds in 2002, and I only had 3 until mid 2003. When I moved, my cds outnumbered my dvds 10 to one. Now, dvds dominate.
