Well fak. Now I'm disappointed and want me some unrated goodness.

Indeed. This is like how Murder Set Pieces came with an R and Director's Cut, but no theatrical version, which was actually the best of all the cuts.

They're missing out on a lot of potential buyers not releasing an uncut version. I hear the same thing we've been saying here all over the place. Dumb move IMO.

Unless they have something planned in a few months as some sort of special. But damn this is disappointing

I don't like to talk about Murder Set Pieces. The fact that the theatrical cut (which was BY FAR THE BEST) is not available makes me sad.

I mentioned that to the director on Twitter. He did thank both of us for seeing it which I thought was pretty cool.

This guy on Change.org started a petition to have the uncut Evil Dead released and in November of last year claims they succeeded with 285 signatures. I appreciate the effort but there is no word anywhere that I've found of this actually happening any time soon, and only 285? I would have thought more would have signed it. I would have had I known about it. linkAnd see that picture? I want that fakking scene!!

If they had asked for a few thousand I'm sure they would have gotten it EASILY.

You have to get something like that around. Can't just post it and take a nap.

I don't understand how the petition was a success, unless over 250 signatures was the goal. No uncut version so far so...

Seriously. I've seen people get way more signatures for much more trivial things. Keep the dream alive!

He should have spread that petition around a bit and asked for a lot more signatures. It just makes it seem like no one gives a crap if such a low number was the goal.

"So we spend thousands of dollars to press unrated Blu-Rays for, what, 285 people? Pass"
Good job there, mac.

I'm still trying to figure out why the hell they asked for so few. Why not 5,000 signatures? That would have at least shown them there was a significant amount of people who wanted this.
