"According to Deadline, The CW is spearheading this effort with Alex Kurtzman, Bob Orci, and Joe Hill. The original 1984 series came from George A. Romero and was a TV spinoff of his Creepshow efforts. An interesting thing to note is that Joe Hill, who will handle writing duties for the new series, is Stephen King’s son and appeared in the original Creepshow." Man, this would be awesome especially with Hill writing the episodes. Really hope this happens, I'll keep you posted.

I hope it goes better than that second Twilight Zone reboot.

Hard to say how a show like this would be received today, especially on a network like the CW. People might not get into a half hour horror show. I still watch the original Twilight Zone, Night Gallery and Tales from the Darkside episodes today so I'd watch this no doubt. But, I don't know how much of the younger generation that aren't die hard horror fans would take it. Still, I hope they give it a decent chance, I'd really like to see it do well. I hope it goes better than that second Twilight Zone reboot. Yeah, they had the people to star in the episodes, but most of the stories were trash. I got the feeling they were just cashing in on the name and forgot that people like stories that are actually scary or just make sense.

There were a few good episodes, like the one where Death took a day off, but yeah, overall it was just not very well done at all. I hope this show gets treated with more respect.
Also, love that opening. It used to really creep me out as a child.
