Reading this all over, that he's pissed about Batista coming back and winning the Royal Rumble and that he's pissed about the WWE not using Danielson properly. I don't follow it regularly but this sounds like big news. So, I ask you guys that do follow it, NDX and gorepolice, what's the deal? Truth to this? Sure sounds legit...

Been reading about this for the last 2 days. Seems pretty legit. Kinda like when Austin was pissed and, as Triple He put it, took his ball and went home.
It's a big loss for sure, but WWE has so many entertaining guys on the roster with so many more in developmental that I'm not worried if he doesn't come back. Great talent, but he's been half assing it for a while now and he is a douche in real life.

As big as he was he's expendable as they all are. Walking out isn't the way to do it, the E isn't going to beg him to come back. Interesting, like to see how this plays out.

Great talent, but he's been half assing it for a while now and he is a douche in real life. This is all that needs to be said. He's got a massive ego on him and thinks he's better than he is a lot of the times. In the end, I won't miss him much because I know what WWE has and what is waiting in NXT. Gives room for someone else to move up the roster, too.

We have Bryan, The Wyatt Family, The Shield, Cody Rhodes, Big E. Langston all on the current roster.
Guys in NXT/developmental include Adrian Neville, Alexander Rusev, Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, Corey Graves, Tyler Breeze, Bo Dallas, Sami Zayn, Solomon Crowe,Aiden English, and rumors are that they're interested in KENTA. We have nothing to worry about.

Plus NJPW's Prince Devitt is a possible signing. There's a lot of good wrestling on the horizon in the 'E, and if you're like me and you've just gone on to ignore the storylines like I do we might even enjoy it.
Shame I can't do the same for TNA, but even the wrestling ain't been good of late.

I gave up on TNA forever ago. I thought Aces and 8's would never end, and the Joseph Park nonsense is still going! I can't.
The stories might not come to great conclusions in the E, but the in ring product is better than it's been in years and I'm loving it.

Smart move there, Tomas. Especially after the Genesis bullshit and letdown reveal of MVP.
WWE's in ring product is its saving grace right now. A lot of their midcard wrestlers are very talented and can put on decent matches between the big matches on the cards. I just hope that if Punk's departure is legit, not a work and is long term and not short term, this allows guys to come up from NXT that are ready.
Sami Zayn is ready, and I think their promotion of NXT's live show in Feb. and his match with Cesaro will be what gets him ready for the big time. They are giving that match on that card because they want to showcase how good those 2 are. People keep saying Cesaro is being poorly utilized. I disagreed, and now with Punk on the outs, it's time to step someone up. Now's the time to step him up and replace in in the Real Americans (because Swagger's not good enough to go solo).

So, if this is legit where does Punk go? Back to ROH? Japan?

Punk is well set with money and burnt out of wrestling in general, so he can relax at home for a while with no worries. He can do whatever he wants to really.

It's not always about money Steve. Punk has gotta be well off. I'd be frustrated as well if i was stuck wrestling HHH at Wrestlemania. If it's not John Cena or Daniel Bryan who gives a damn? Not worth his or our time. But again while he will be missed he won't be, know what I mean?

Austin looks pretty good. I wish Redneck Island would come back already.

It really is just a rehash of an old feud that ended poorly last time. I wouldn't want to revisit that scenario either. Besides, it makes more sense for Bryan to face Trips at Mania to prove him wrong about the B+ player status, then go on to win the title.

But at this point I really don't see Bryan winning the title anytime soon. I see WWE just screwing with us because they can.
