You know how embarrassed i was when my brother walked into my house and saw this playing on the screen... he says "oh dude your listening to lady gaga how gay" i had to tell em who it was then we both got uncomfortable as we watched a female body parading around with a mans face (we were watching Lady Gaga - Born This Way at that time) lol

I love Weird Al. His parodies are usually right on the money, no different with this one. Like Gore said, he outdid Lady Gaga in this one. I read that she found it really funny as well. I think it's cool when celebs can laugh about stuff like this, unlike Coolio who got really pissed when Al did Amish Paradise.

Yeah, he does a great job. Thing is, he usually goes to the artists and asks them if it's OK to parody their song, and 99% of the time they say yes. If I remember right Coolio originally said yes and then thought it made him look stupid and got bent about it.
Amish Paradise is one of my favorite Al parodies.

One thought is that the label lied to Al, saying they got permission when the didn't. In the end, doesn't matter. Gangsta's Paradise is still an iconic piece and Amish Paradise pays a nice tribute to it while being its own entity. Win-win, in the end.

I love how Al outlasts 98% of the artists he parodies.
