Stephen King's coked out directorial debut. And it's gloriously bad. I really needed an Emilio Estevez fix, and this did it for me.
Anyone wonder why this is the only thing King ever directed?

As I read it, there was a really bad accident where one of the stunts went wrong, so he never directed again.
My buddy Frank loves this movie, but I have yet to see the whole thing. I really should get on that.

And you comment about me not seeing Wishmaster? Come on dude, you have to watch this. Just for the Estevez goodness!

I know. It's pretty bizarre to think of certain movies I haven't seen that seem like I should have.

Same for me. It's just one of those things. How many times have we shown each other films that the other hasn't seen before. It works out great that way.
MO is cheesy as hell, but it's good cheese. Stupid plot, stupid characters, Emilio Estevez (yes, dammit, I miss watching his films and will keep promoting him until everyone else does too), Green Goblin truck, etc.

Yeah, I know just how cheesy it is, which is why I have to see it. Plus, Emilio Estevez!

Wish he was acting again. He should have used his brother losing his ish as a way to getting back on screen.

Well, now we have Carlos Estevez. We can only hope he'll be as good as Emilio.

Carlos has the potential to be great. As long as he doesn't get trapped by Hollywood's vices.

As long as he doesn't actually resemble the character he was playing, I think he'll be a huge star.

King calls this his "idiot" movie and says he had no idea what he was doing as director and like Scott said, he was coked out of his mind the whole time. I know the movie cost much more than expected due to delays and probably accidents as Tomas said. King said after he did that one that he was done directing. And, it must have really done a number on him because it's been...28 years and he hasn't "directed" since.
I do like the movie though, I guess that one is a guilty pleasure cause it's sooo bad, lol.
