"A thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself."
Forgot to post this one, thanks for adding it. I doubt I'll be seeing it, especially since I've already missed the first couple of episodes, but it looks OK from what I've seen. Maybe if it gets added to Netflix I'll binge watch it.
Thanks to On Demand, I've caught up on this show and I'm loving it. I want to read the comic now, but it's becoming impossible to find links for. Might just go and buy the trade now. Because even though it's vampires, it's damn good vampires.
I actually just first heard about this today while watching TV at a friend's house, it came up on a commercial. Might check it out when it hits Netflix as well as have too many other series to catch up on atm.
Awesome show!! It really made me want to read the trilogy that it's based on. I think the author wanted to make this into a movie or something, but they thought a series would be better.
We only watched it like halfway through the season because something came up and we missed an episode, then kept missing them and DVRing them but then didn't have time to catch up. But we are definitely planning on catching up before summer because that's when Season 2 airs.
I remember a quote I really liked at the end of the first episode:
When we find love, no matter how wrong, how sad, or how terrible, we cling to it: it gives us our strength; it holds us upright.
It's just so painfully true and it hits close to home for me.
Oh and random observation... the face on the cover always reminds me of Amanda Seyfried.
