Well, it's coming up on that time of year again. It's just over a month away. October. And October brings us many things. A change of seasons. Fallen leaves. And dead bodies everywhere. That's right everybody, Halloween is just around the corner! I know, I've been stocking candy the last 2 trucks as if we were a construction crew for a wicked witch.
And you know what Halloween coming up means? It's time once again for the 31 Nights of Halloween, where we horror and scare freaks get together and rejoice in nightly frightfests like no other! We discuss, mull over and post out potential to finalized lists when it comes to the horror we watch this time of year, and all of you are invited! Last year went pretty damn well, let's hope this year is the same.
Now, there were plenty of films I should have watched I didn't last year, so this year I should try and pack them in. I will post a list of my potential films on the list in the next post.
And don't think I've forgotten about Arnold SchwartzeNovember or DVDecember. Those will get their own threads soon enough. These should be official Horrors Online traditions. I DEMAND IT!

So, anyone have any plans for this off the bat, or are you just going to play it by ear? I'm thinking I have to end it one Eraserhead again, but I won't be able to get the BD until November (B&N half price sale). What should I do?!
I think I gotta marathon Hatchet for this year, at least. I dunno if I should go franchise, classics, modern or a mix of them all. Yes, this is a dilemma.

I don't know how to go about this year either. I usually watch horror pretty much all October anyway, maybe I'll incorporate a lot of the classics this year that will be on TV and fill in with either movies I own or ones on the horror channels on Roku.

I think I'm going to do the same thing as last year and go with franchises. It's an easy and fun way for me to get through my box sets. Going through my Puppet Master and Killjoy set alone gets me through the first 12 days.

I probably should have held the Halloween series for this, but hell, I really wanted to see this. I got 9 Puppet Masters to watch, though.

I have the Puppet Master box set that I bought last year, but I haven't opened it and don't know if I want to. Most of them are on Frightpix so I can see them there.

That's a nice list NDX.
Not sure if I'll be able to binge watch horror movies next month but hopefully my friends go ahead with our plan of having a horror movie night on Halloween, we all plan on leaving a bit early from work to meet up and watch at least 4 horror flicks.

I've got the movies and the desire to watch them all...again...it's just finding the time to do it. Every year I get behind, but I always catch up somehow to finish. Your plan for Halloween sounds great though. Nothing like Halloween, some friends and some good scary movies.

With work and other obligations, it's very easy to fall behind. I usually make up for it when I have my days off though.

I don't get days off. Why I've fallen behind on Sci-Fi-September.

I'm thinking of either ending Sci-Fi-September with The Thing, or starting 31 Nights with it. I think it's the perfect crossover movie in this case to transition from one theme to the next. That, or Terminator. Just perfect crossover titles here.
I have to watch Island of Lost Souls again. Absolute classic. Worth every penny I paid for it.
Any movies we should all agree we must watch during this time?

The Thing is a must, IMO. Like you said, it's a perfect movie to seamlessly make the jump from September to October. Plus, it's one of the best sci fi/horror films ever made, like it was meant for our marathoning pleasure.

Still an all time favorite. Because it's scary, gross, and a spectacle of science and art.
