Which one do you like better? I have to go with the 1982 version. One of my favorite movies of all time. Outstanding graphics without CGI and just an all around scary movie.
Not even close for me, the re-make wins.

I voted the 1982 version too. There's a new one coming out?

Oh. And I totally missed the trailer for it at the top of the main page. Need to get my glasses checked, I think. Looks good though, I'd go see it.

let's just hope the new version doesn't go over the top with the cgi.

Last movie we saw in the theater was Slither. I thought it was a great, cheesy horror film. If this movie is as good as it looks, I'll be happy I shelled out the bucks to see it.

I went with the remake. Own and enjoy both films, but John Carpenter's movie gave me nightmares when I was young, and that's a good thing.
I bring this movie up a lot when discussing horror films. I really feel it is both forgotten and seriously underrated.
The new one isn't really a remake, it's a prequel. A little bummed that the chick who played Ramona Flowers is in it, but the trailer does look very promising.

I like everyone else voted for the remake, it is easily one of my favorite horror movies of all time. Hopefully with the new one being released more people will look into watching John Carpenter's movie.
