...probably won't be happening at this rate.

I saw this on some other site and was going to post it, then I saw the funds raised so far and decided not to because I thought the same thing, probably not going to happen. The original isn't one of the best movies ever but it does have a lot of fans. I would have thought this could have been done without a Kickstarter thing.

I think I saw the original back when I was a kid, but I've not seen it since nor remember any of it. Still, seems like something a sequel is perfect for.

Probably should have done the sequel on the heels of the original, now seems like an odd time to try to get it done. Newer horror fans know nothing of the original, so why would a sequel appeal to them?

Because a lot of horror is timeless and younger fans do appreciate the classics. I've seen it working with kids, they sometimes know their stuff.

I can see the younger folks knowing the classics... Nightmare, Friday, Halloween. But this isn't even a movie I love or have seen twice. I think I rented it because my kids liked the cover at the video store. Have to give it another watch to see if I'd even be interested in a sequel.

It's got Clint Howard in it. That alone is at least worth watching the (probably never going to be made) sequel once.

Yeah, that's true.

This was a horrible movie. I don't see the need for a sequel to it over a decade later.
