After hearing he was getting hospice care, I expected this, but doesn't change the fact that one of the best guitars in music is no longer with us. www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-32747861The "King of the Blues", guitarist and singer BB King, has died aged 89. King, known for his hits My Lucille, Sweet Little Angel and Rock Me Baby, died in his sleep in Las Vegas. Born in Mississippi, King began performing in the 1940s, going on to influence a generation of musicians, and working with Eric Clapton and U2. Once ranked as the third greatest guitarist of all time, he had been suffering ill health in recent months. He was recently taken to hospital with a diabetes-related illness.

Just saw this on the news. Man, true legend there. Inspiration for a lot of folks out there today. RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

Aww, well at least his family can take comfort in the fact that he passed peacefully while sleeping. That's the best way to go, in my opinion.
My boyfriend and I went to Beale Street in Memphis, TN last March and we passed his blues club there as well. I think I got a picture of it with the street in the background. I'm sure his music will forever live on there.
RIP, Mr. King.
I like Lenny Kravitz's tweet:
