(As if we don't have enough threads on this movie. Wait, we don't!) I recently found another copy of this on dvd and bought it because 2 was not enough for me (and I have a VHS somewhere I think). Plus this one comes with a short parody called Night of the Living Bread.
I can never get over how good of a film this is, and how it's held up so well nearly 50 years later. And anyone can do anything they want with it thanks to it being public domain. It's an amazing film still that started a trend that will seemingly never die (pun intended).
If I had the skills, I'd make a rotoscoped version of this movie and release that. But I don't know how to animate and that's a lot of facking drawings to be had. And now, not like Re-Animated because most of that was bull tripe. Plus I have an idea for Eraserhead I want to start this summer.

Watching it today is still terrifying, which shows Romero knew how to do it. Still the basis for the zombie stuff we love today. King of the zombie movies, there will never be another one that meant as much to the horror genre.

And there was some legitimate gore in here that rivals H G Lewis's work on Blood Feast and Two Thousand Maniacs!

Wish he still made them this well. Diary and Survival were just an insult to the legacy of this film.
