This was supposed to be one of the best horror films of 2014, but I have to to tell you, I didn't much care for it. It was really slow getting going. Yeah there was a werewolf attack early on, but after that it just kind of stagnated. And when we do get the payoff, the transformation scene is easily put to shame by An American Werewolf in London and that was from '81. Although the pulling the skin off was a pretty neat twist. I was bored until the last half hour or so, and that's not good. I've read what others have said about thinking it was great and loving it and I just don't agree. Didn't do much for me, but at least I can say I saw it.

It was decent. Not terrible, but certainly had potential to be better than it was. The werewolves in it didn't look very good though, you are certainly correct in that regard.

I liked it, but definitely agree that it was overrated. Ultimately I was a little disappointed, and wish I had rented it instead of going for a "blind buy". Unlike most folks, I did like the unique look of the werewolves, but I just thought it was a little boring overall. The lead is better than this, and so is the director (HERE COMES THE DEVIL, anyone? Wow).
Like I said, I did enjoy it, but it was worth a one-time watch and not a whole lot more.
