Since I'm a fan of the state of Wisconsin, I'll give you my top 10 moments in Wisconsin sports.
10. Packers linebacker Clay Matthews sacks quarterback Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears several times in one game.
9. The Wisconsin Badgers wins the 2015 Outback Bowl in overtime by defeating the Auburn Tigers 34-31.
8. Aaron Rodgers threw an outstanding 6 TD passes that matches the Packers' single-game record with Matt Flynn and also ties the NFL record with Daryle Lamonica of the 1969 Oakland Raiders one year before the AFL-NFL merger. The Pack blew out the Bears 55-14. This also makes the Chicago Bears the first team since the NFL's inception in 1920 to give up 50 points or more.
7. Speaking of blowout victories, in week 3 of the 2014 college football season, the Wisconsin Badgers blew out the Bowling Green Falcons 68-17 and it all made possible by Melvin Gordon's 5 touchdowns in one game (13 carries & 253 rushing yards).
6. On Sunday, December 31st, 1967, the Packers def. the Dallas Cowboys 21-17 at Lambeau Field where the weather was -13 degrees fahrenheit/-25 degrees celcius which was known as the "Ice Bowl" game.
5. Donald Driver retires from the Green Bay Packers after a well-deserved 15-year run.
4. Ex-quarterback & MVP Brett Favre finally retires his #4 jersey during halftime at Lambeau Field with a special guest appearance by Bart Starr who lead the team to the first 2 Super Bowl in the '66 and '67 seasons championship while Favre lead the '96 Packers to their 3rd Super Bowl championship.
3. After being sidelined for 7 weeks, Aaron Rodgers returned just in time for the final game of the 2013 regular season where he a 48-yard TD pass to Randall Cobb in the 4th quarter with 38 seconds remaining that won them the game and the NFC North title. The week 17 game went viral on YouTube by videos of Packers and Bears fans.
2. The "Miracle in Motown" game at Ford Field between the Lions and the Packers where Aaron Rodgers threw a 61-yard hail mary pass to Richard Rodgers giving them a 27-23 victory which was a reminiscent reminder of the "Band Game" of 1982 where Rodgers' dad played for the California Golden Bears that won his team over the Stanford Cardinal 25-20 while the band was on the field.
1. The Green Bay Packers wins their very 1st of many Super Bowl championships under the late, great and legendary coach Vince Lombardi by beating the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10.
