Better start putting this board to good use. Here we can discuss the best-selling novelist of all-time, and arguably the greatest mystery writer ever, Agatha Christie. I've got to say, Agatha Christie is my personal favorite author. Her books have the best twist endings ever, and Hercule Poirot would rival Sherlock Holmes as a detective. (BTW, it might be a good idea to use spoiler tags when posting in this thread, so that the book isn't spoiled for those who haven't read it.)

I actually haven't ever read an Agatha Christie book yet. Though I know I do have some of hers waiting in my queue on my Nook/Kindle/Google Books account (I can't remember which one, haha, I have too many books on all of them...) I'll have to dig and see which one I have of hers and then read it and come back to this thread.

I've read the following so far....
- And Then There Were None - Hallowe'en Party - Orient Express
I've enjoyed them. My only complaint was someone ruined the "Orient Express" for me right before I started reading it.

Interestingly there is a mystery with Agatha Christie herself, as she disappeared for 11 days in 1926, when she was 36. She never fully revealed the reason for this.

Never read an Agatha Christie book, mystery solving and the like just isn't for me. I like straight horror with as few syllables as possible. An easy read and a great scare is my favorite kind of story.

An easy read and a great scare is my favorite kind of story. I find her style to be an easy read, but I haven't read much by her, and I don't read any modern detective fiction, I prefer period settings. She did write some stories with supernatural elements. To be honest I like my authors dead. Modern fiction rarely interests me. In fact the deader the better suits me. I know a lot about late 18th/early 19th century fiction.
