What record did it break? For horror movies? For its own franchise? I won't lie, the trailer looks OK, but nothing I'd go out of my way to see.

Biggest debut ever for a horror movie. But that's kinda not fair considering ticket prices today vs. 70s, 80's, and 90's. Still, set a record. Nothing I'm too worried about seeing either.

What was the movie it's predecessor beat to get the top spot last year? Don't seem to be able to find it at the moment.

Can't find that either. I know PA2 beat The Watchmen for highest grossing midnight release, but I don't know the horror movie it beat to be the biggest highest grossing horror flick. They're definitely marketing these right. I still don't get all these people loving this franchise so much.
Guess that's why I don't make movies.

People like shitty horror movies. Make something lame that costs almost no money and market the hell out of it. Instant hit. These are the types of horror films even the most timid person could sit through.

Yeah. Still, I wish I could come up with something like this. I would enjoy collecting the money. Nowadays it seems PG13 is better then R because most of the audience is under 17. Used to be, if you were going to see an R movie as a kid, my older sister took me, you were prepared to be scared silly.

Movies that were pg-13 in the 80's would be R today. It's really quite sad.

Once I get into makeup, we'll make an awesome Blair Zombie Project like thing. Market it like it was the best film ever made.
Diary of the Dead, only good.

I'm in. What's a few days off work when we'll be rich? Unless we can't sell it...I'll let you get good at the make up first.
