Saw this last night, and liked what I was seeing...until the ending. Got Shamalamadingdonged again! The main character was freaking awesome though, great actor imo. Oh well, at least it was free.

My hate of Shamalamadingdong overrode my love of James McAvoy. I figured it would happen again, so I'm glad I avoided it.

I enjoyed the movie for the most part. Got a little funky towards the end, but overall, it was OK.

I personally enjoyed this movie, The ending sucked but thats typical shyamalan. The idea that the human mind could push the boundaries of what we believe is our physical limit is truly interest.
How i prepared for this movie is knowing that its shyamalan meaning just be prepared for the crap, twist ending, director acting role, and crap that is just not going to make sense. If you show up expecting it, its not that bad when it happens. Then i thought about what this movie really is, and its not a hostage situation its about the human mind. What the human mind could be capable of doing and what it does do based off of the experiences in life. "BIG SPOILER" our protagonist survives, escapes, gets free from this horrible death facing situation... to go back in the custody of her "what we could assume" sexually abusive uncle!!? WHAT!!! this is that "what the mind does" thing i was talking about as her "normal" life goes on and she still will be fighting to survive, escape, to get free. So when she is not in those situations of survival she is just "living" but her mind doesn't know how to do that this is why she is shy, quite, the outcast.. when the ending comes the normal viewer is saying "booo i want to know how she gets safe!" were i am asking the question "how does it end" in the sense i know there is no safe ending it will unfortunately/inherently be bad because that is how her mind works any other way she doesn't fit in.

I don't do reviews, my mind doesn't work that way. Either it does it for me or it doesn't. This one did, despite the Shamalama swerve at the end. Overall, thought it was a decent flick.

I like to analyze films because i believe there is at times a better story being told than what we are seeing. sometimes the story doesn't have depth and what you see is all that there is its not always bad but it isn't as much fun.

Oh yeah, please give reviews. I have nothing against them at all, just my small brain is unable to do so, lol. I enjoy reading reviews here and I love hearing what people thought about the movies they've seen. But, for me it's cut and dry. Either I liked it or I didn't. But, yes, please continue to give reviews. You, gorepolice and Smeets do great ones.

I wasn't trying to review it i was just kinda bummed everyone was all "boo shyamalan im not watching that garbage" so i figured i would put a different twist on the movie to possibly get some people to give it a chance. lol Taking the movie on as a film about the human mind and how it works and how we could push those boundaries that we know is our limit sound so much better to me then. "M. Knight Shyamalan has done it again, he managed to find a way to put people in a confined space in a fight for survival... and this time the devil isn't the little old lady... its a beast played by an actor who also plays 23 other people?" - Read that in movie guy voice

At least you explain why you liked and didn't like the movie. Again, small brain here doesn't work that way. Good stuff!

You're probably more of a talker, face to face you could probably dissect a movie like no body else; what they did wrong, how it could be better, how they did what, what else they should of tried..
