Remember 2002 when The Ring came to America and we all crapped our pants and it gave truth to our belief adopting kids with no background was a bad idea. Then 2005 the Ring twO came out and no one can really remember what that was about. Well we are adding to the Saga with Rings, This movie doesn't try to be a remake or an origin story but it tries to add to a lore that already exist. You would think this would be hard with two movies already made years ago that gave you almost all of the information you would need to survive. Yet i would say this movie did an okay job at accomplishing this goal without completely " Technology" the crap out of it. What i mean by that, the original films used VHS tapes to watch the "video" it is now 2017 VHS would be impossible to integrate into the film without one hell of a long explanation as to why. Lets talk about the film... Our story follows a young couple Julia and Holt as they try to survive probably the most difficult test they may ever face "A long distance relationship". Seriously Holt is going off to college and Julia is staying back in their small little town. But with technology they will stay in touch with text, skype, phone calls, and maybe some social media? Holt tells Julia a little too much information one night over a skype call, also mentions this guy^^^ who we learn is nothing but bad news I mean a bad teacher. Good thing he is a teacher and not some student that means he will be easier to find if he is required later in the story...That is if Samara has not gotten to him first **cough cough** The film follows a pattern of the old films that allows you to feel comfortable in the world. Like We meet this nice lady who rents out rooms and has some useful information that helps our couple find the answers we are looking for. Even if the answers are vague or late on the delivery we know that the information will be useful. Even with the new elements added to the film we still feel comfortable because we remember last time we had to go find a light house that someone saw in the film, This time its a church but we still remember what we have to do next and that's find this random building because MOVIE. On our journey we meet a nice man who's only goal is to tell us to not look for the answers. There isn't much more to say here he just for some reason wants you to be safe and not to continue your search for your death. Obviously we ignore that crazy blind man and we find some more clues on our journey and find ourselves in some really bad places. Like at this point im not sure if i should be happy we found another clue or if we are going to die in this place. Holy balls Samara shows up and she is still creepy as hell, this is like the one of few times we see her she really only works that 7th day. I think its the lack of VCR players in the day and age its hard to get views if you're not on youtube.. Oh yea then this thing happens to poor Julia i mean talk about messed up, for that fact why does this happen at what point did you see this being a thing that actually happened to Samara. Everything in the "video" is in someway related to this evil ass kid but this.. no one forced her to eat her dreadlocks and then pull it out of her throat. This happened too but i was really wondering why this film isn't on the 3D bandwagon? Wait is it?... no, no its not. In conclusion you could skip this film and be okay you wont die, well you will but you wouldn't have missed much in the 3rd installment of the Ring trilogy

I remember The Ring 2 all too well. It would take a large sum of money to get me to watch another one.

Oh please take it and run with it, I like adding photos to reviews because i feel it gives the reader something more and dropping the captions in the image itself help give the image more life other than "here is an image from the film, that you may or may not have seen".
Also i feel my style of a review is more of "not a review" lol... its very sarcastic and i guess a dry humor, the more off topic my review is the mare i disliked the film.

yeah, i'm trying to find my own review style. cept i like calling it a report. it's difficult. i run into - what can i say that will add to it without going way off topic. so there's the usual what year it came out, who directed it, actors, cinematography, but i try to go beyond that as well.

That could be a style all on it's own, writing a report can be very interesting. I love gimmicks, characters, skits i like to look at a story from both ends. The person that tells it and the viewer who is absorbing the information. That's kinda why i use the photos because my writing is weak. What i mean is i'm not giving enough information with what i'm saying and it leaves the reader wanting more thus i give them the photo with random yet entertaining text. I also use the photos to keep pushing through to the next line of content and lets be honest without those photos this review would barely pass as a post. Here is a fun Skit i like reading police reports and declassified government files its an odd hobby but i usually pick a topic and i enjoy digging through them. So create a character call him "detective something, maybe P.I. Smeets" and try to write the review in the form of a police report or declassified file you could include mug shots, crime scene photos, witness accounts, redact names, give times and dates, there is literally hundreds of ideas I kind of want to do this lol

lol. yeah i have to find my own style though. not sure i like what i'm doing. maybe you just got an open style of writing. by that i mean, leaving space so that the reader can contemplate on - fill in the blanks. i love, love, love, that style - cause i'm a thinker. but that's not my style mostly my style is f'n appreciation. damn you society if i can't add more to my fav movies. a movie has to be more. we can agree on that. reports, reviews, gimmicks, posters, fan art, web comics can add. dude i totally get what you are saying! that sounds like fun. never heard of that before. i want to do that too. i can see myself as a detective dog with a fedora. I also want to do a web comic of the beastmaster. directly after the first movie ended.

those pics you chose are all key frames too right? Yeah i use VLC player becuase the options are right there for you and they have hot keys or shorcut keys that make it simple without going into a drop down menu to capture a frame
