Can we say Forrest Gump for this? It's an emotional roller coaster but I always feel good after watching it. Although I also feel lonely but that's a whole 'nother story.

Love Forrest Gump, but it's so long. The World According to Garp can be a feel good movie at points, but I think the ending probably disqualifies it.

NDX that lonliness part isn't you it's the damn template that bad writers use. hope + tragedy. every nicholas sparks movie has it. i'm not sure what it's called but it's the equivalent of the "heros journey" for fantasy/sci-fi. since i know they are just using a technique - complimentary but clashing feelings - i try not to get too sad about it myself.

ok. you guys were worrying me there for a min. you guys are still cool. everyone here is cool! i love this place.
i've done a million things right in my 35 years of life that loneliness can be either accepted or forgotten. so many things to look back on and say i did good.

I'm tired of being 35. But at least I already know I lost 10 years of my life somewhere instead of realizing it 20 years down the line having lost 30 years, y'know? Getting my midlife crisis out of the way early.
Of course, this is the ONLY thing I'm early for...

i've learned from great teachers - books and podcasts - that we have to find something that justifies our suffering - loneliness, min wage job, etc. nietzche said, he who has a why can bear any how. so for me (maybe you too) it's art, music, movies, anything like that. that's how i bear the crap side of how. and we have to be on top of it every hour, every day, cause there is no eliminating loneliness only accepting it and moving on to something we like instead. if loneliness was a person she would look hideous i bet. now i want to draw a picture of what she looks like
