Anyone seen either of these? I like horror mostly, but the wife likes a good comedy, so I added these to my NetFlix queue.
In Date Night, I'm thinking it's Tina Fey and Steve Carell....how can it not be funny. WRONG.
Same with Hot Tub Time Machine. John Cusack is pretty awesome, so I thought that would be good. WRONG.
Both of these movies stunk...badly. As a matter of fact, we didn't even finish Hot Tub Time Machine.
One thing I noticed is that both films are by the same production company. Coincidence? I doubt it. Really disappointed in both of these movies. Nothing funny in either.

Haven't seen either, and unless I happen on them on cable I won't be. I would have thought Date Night would be good too, but I will defer to your opinion.
Getting tough to find a really good new movie in any genre these days it seems.

Some of the new horror coming out looks promising, some not so much. Don't know why this major 3D craze is going on. I don't go to the movies so the 3D aspect is lost on me. Also could do without all of the re-makes, but that's for another discussion I think.

Date Night wasn't great. Not horrible or anything, just essentially meh. I did love the parts where Tina Fey and Steve Carrell made up conversations other couples were having.
I love Hot Tub Time Machine though. Funny af. Great ensemble. Great throwback to the '80s. I've heard nothing but bad reviews about the sequel however.

Best part of HTTM was the anticipation waiting to see how Crispin Glover's character loses his damn arm. Every time I was waiting for it to happen!
I haven't seen it since I bought the DVD ages ago. I should fix that.

Never saw Date Night but I loved Hot Tub Time Machine. Unfortunately, the sequel was absolute trash.
