All time classic and one of my favorite movies. It released on this day in 1959, so watch it in honor of it's 60th birthday!

The remake was OK to me, but the original is a classic, definitely my favorite of the two. But, that's just me.

Have you seen the sequel? It's pretty good too!

Yeah, saw it when it came out. That was pretty good too. I think we actually saw it in the theater which is rare.

Loved the creepy caretaker that seemed to float when she moved. Elisha Cook, Jr. and Vincent Price in the same movie, oh yeah, that alone was worth the price of a movie ticket IMHO.

William Castle is always fun, in a schlocky way. Vincent Price too.
Although, truth be told, I'm one of those who prefer the remake over this original. Dark Castle had some good remakes. Thirteen Ghosts being another one also.
Elisha Cook is always a fun addition to these kinds of movies as well.

The very definition of a classic! Still a super fun movie, and the remake isn't bad either.

This is where I run around with a plastic skeleton in front of the screen.

Another classic I've still never got round to seeing (Or it's remake), mind you a few more months and it's spooky season once again...

And it being public domain makes it one of the easiest films to access.

Another classic I've still never got round to seeing (Or it's remake), mind you a few more months and it's spooky season once again... I really enoyed it, never seen the remake and watching this for the first time it has all the elements of a classic story. Made me curious about the building as well used for exterior shots, which I see has still managed to survive to this day as well!
