Previously announced cast include Derek Luke (“13 Reasons Why”), Max Martini (“Pacific Rim”), Paola Nuñez (“The Son”) and Joel Allen (“Never Goin’ Back”).

I prefer the series over the movies, despite the neutering of said premise to fit TV censor standards. Just more avenues to go down and a world worth exploring beyond two hours.
I might like the first season better, if only because of Fiona Dourif and the cult leader she played. Very cool concept I hadn't seen from this franchise before.
The second season has its bright spots too. What with getting to see the people monitoring others on Purge night to make sure rules are followed and no one does bad things after time is up. Nice surprise in that one too.
