Okay, so by movie standards, this isn't the worst horror film ever made. Actually, it's passable and at times entertaining. But as a Marvel comics buff, and a huge Man-Thing fan (ooooh, that's phallic sounding), this is one of the worst movies ever created. It's Man-Thing in name only, as it has NOTHING to do with the original comic other than Marvel slapping their logo on it and Ted Sallis, the man who becomes Man-Thing. Really, if you read the comics or is a fan of the character, this was the absolute pits. For those who don't know, Man-Thing is a creature created when Ted Sallis, creating a new version of the Super Soldier serum that created Captain America, found out he was working for the terrorist organization A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) and fled. He was run off the road into a Florida Everglades swamp, where he injected himself with the serum. It being untested, merged with the swamp water to create the unthinking muck monster Man-Thing, who reacts to emotion. Fear is so powerful an emotion to him it causes him pain, and to end it, all the know fear BURNS at the Man-Thing's touch (and yet, no burning in the movie). He is a protector of the Nexus of all Realities, a weak point in all realities and parallel universes in Marvel comics. He is nigh invincible, and most likely immortal. He doesn't talk, has no thoughts and responds on instinct mostly, although recently a spark of emotion has been shown from him in the Thunderbolts series (which I like where they were going with it until recently). Here is some art of him by: Art Adams (who was a big influence to me in the 90s, and is still a favorite today with his Fantastic Four: Monsters Unleashed work): Francis Tsai and Matt Kaufenberg: Liam Sharp (a personal god for me since Death's Head 2 in 1992): Now, behold, a Giant Sized Man-Thing! I love you, Marvel.

I agree with Lee, that artwork is awesome. Love how on the comic book it says it'll give you the origin of the three dangly things on his face, lol. The comics you pointed me to were awesome, BTW. Thanks.

Yeah, those books are the best of the lot right now. There were some good ones, but those were damn near perfect.
