TV Issues

I wonder if anyone on here can help.
It's been some time now, but a few months back there was a storm and it knocked the power out at my girlfriend's place for a bit. Everything seemed fine until I turned on her TV, which was off when the power went out ('cause neither one of us were home).
First off, she got the TV when she worked for a hotel and her manager let her have one of the models they were replacing there. No remote. Just the TV. It's a Panasonic TV. TH-32LRT12U. The side buttons never worked on it.
Aside from unscrewing the whole back and trialing and erroring with the wires, which I'm wisely not doing btw, how can I fix it? The universal remote she bought for it long ago, which is not Panasonic but Philips, only turns it on and nothing else. Side note: it use to be able to change the volume and the input so we could switch to her Blu-Ray player. Not any more. The TV only ever remains on the Firestick channel, showing apps we use like Prime and Shudder, which doesn't bother me, but the Firestick remote itself only selects and turns on the TV. It doesn't control the volume, which, for whatever reason, is set to a loud level.
I've done everything I can think of, and she's determined to fix the issue so we not only can change the volume but also be able to switch inputs through our remote. I want to get a different TV, but, again, she's determined. I've tried and I've tried to reprogram each remote to no results.
If anyone can help, please and thank you. If not, that's okay too.

Other than maybe trying a new universal remote, I have no ideas to offer you. Maybe you could try to find an original remote for the TV online somewhere, but it sounds like it's an older TV, so it may be near impossible to find. Walmart did carry it, but it's currently out of stock. www.walmart.com/ip/OEM-Panasonic-Remote-Control-TH32LRT12-TH-32LRT12-TH32LRT12U-TH-32LRT12U-TH37LRT12-TH-37LRT12/146538525I don't know that a new remote would make any difference anyway, just tossing it out there. Maybe it's just time for a new TV, but I certainly get her wanting to figure it out and get the one she already has working. Good luck with it.

Thanks, endo
I thought about trying to get an original remote or a new one, but I don't know. Just playing it by ear. Letting her run the show. God love her.
Thanks again

It's been a while since either one of us tried to do anything to fix that TV. She has one in her bedroom with no issues that we tend to watch more often any way.

I bring no plans to the table for you. Perhaps you could attempt to track down a unique remote for the TV online someplace, however, it seems as though it's a more established TV, so it very well might be close to difficult to track down.
