Here's one for Joey, I think I know how he'll vote. But, what about the rest of you? I think both are great movies, and love them both. Really hard for me to pick one over the other. But, in the end, Savini and Romero win for me with the original. Great flick, again for the time it was made. Savini did great with the effects, and this movie genuinely scared me. What if this really happened?
What about you?

I had to go with undecided because I really do love both films for their similarities and differences. Both a great movies, and I'm just not going to be able to choose.

Joey will pick the original hands down, he hates the re-make. I don't know why, I thought it was great. But, gotta go with what you feel. This was a tough one for me.

I went with the original. You can't go wrong with Tom Savini doing the special effects and the story and characters are great. The part with the bikers at the end is gore at it's finest.

Yes sir. The biker scene is great, but so is the opening when the guy takes a chunk out of his wife's neck. That's good stuff.

Nice. Mixing it up. The re-make really is a good movie. This was a tough one.

I too enjoyed both films and while the re-make is a bit more action packed, I like the feel and effects of the original better. Zombie baby did get to me though.

Zombie baby was a great scene. I've seen the film a dozen times at least, and that scene still gets to me.

See. I could have done without that part. Too over the top for me...as if zombies running amok weren't, lol.

Obviously I voted 78 there is no contest here. I guess 04 isnt a bad movie but they should have not called it dawn of the dead it could have been its own film. It doesnt even come close to the original they original had better story, characters, f/x, scenes, humor everything was better. CJ was the only good thing about the 04 version IMO. The ending was just the worst.

C'mon, you had to have some satisfaction when Mekhi Phifer bought the farm.
Okay, so I just don't like the guy from his ER days. Sue me.

I used to love ER and I never even realized that was him. I just had to use the fu to see if you were mistaken. I didn't think you were, I was just like wow, that was him?

Yeah, he tends to be a forgettable actor. I don't know if I could name anything else he's been in.

Mekhi Phifer was in 8 Mile and Lie to Me for a couple seasons.
Anywho, I went with undecided too. I really liked the 04 version just as much as the original. I like Ty Burrell, the guy who bangs his girlfriend in the electronic store.
