(zombie sits up)
Daryl: "Shut up."
(bolt to the brain)
Oh yeah, that was fun, and funny.

Tonight's episode was great. Can't wait for next week. Anyone watch the webisode of the zombie woman Rick kills in the first season? That's pretty cool.

Really good episode tonight. The tension and drama was pretty high, and I can't wait to see how Shane and Otis get out of that mess.

It was. Otis is a little fatter than I expected, but they sure as hell got a good actor to play him.

I thought the interview with Kirkman was pretty good. And, yeah, Pruitt Taylor Vince fits the role of Otis well on the show. I'll have to read more to see how he compares to the character in the comic.

Well, I hope they keep elements, but I can see them changing him.
I was thinking T-Dawg might have been a replacement for Tyreese. Yeah, no. Not acceptable. He's a fine character in his own right, but I miss seeing Tyreese. But I think he would be too much for the show with Shane still there and Daryl added to the show. 3 strong male leads is enough right now, and a fourth would really be too many chefs in the kitchen, so to speak.

I just can't help but be impressed with this show. If, like me, you had never read a single issue of the comic going in, no big deal at all. It's told so well on TV that you feel like you've known the characters for years. I have heard that long time readers of the comic have been put off about some of the show. Scott, being an avid reader of the comics, is there anything that made you go"I can't believe they're doing it this way" or something similar?
I understand it can't be the comic word for word, but have they changed so much it would piss off a fan of the comics? I haven't read enough yet to answer this for myself.

I'm a fan of the comic myself, and I haven't found anything really off putting. I'm actually quite glad that it's different from the books. if it went word for word with the comic, what would I really have to look forward to? Granted, some stuff would be amazing to see, but in the end I'd have no real reason to watch the show.

I look at the comic as a source material. And I love being the one everyone at work who watches the show comes to see DOES CARL DIE IN THE COMIC?! WHAT HAPPENS TO SOPHIA?! And I love being able to answer one and say THE OTHER NEVER HAPPENED! I'M AS FRANTIC AS YOU! And the most important aspects of the book are being incorporated. Guts. The camp outside Atlanta. The zombie camp attack. A small herd. Carl being shot. HERSHAL'S FARM!
Come on, whoever looks at how they are doing this and calls foul is golly day idiot.

Oh, and my aunt was kind enough to tell me a few nights ago that, once again after only 2 episodes, The Walking Dead has been re-upped for another season. That's right, we get a season 3!

Nice input from both of you and really nice we're getting a third season!! You guys are the readers of the comic, if you say the show is holding it's own, good enough. Take that whiners.

Some people b!tch just to b!tch. I DIDN'T WRITE THIS SO IT'S WRONG! Go screw yourselves and enjoy an epic character drama based in the zombie apocalypse. Who ever saw this coming 10 years ago? Hell, 5?
