Hello Horror fans. My name's Peter, I'm 35 and come from the south of the UK. I could bore you with a few of my favourite things - drawing, writing stories, photography, transformers (To which I am a collector, run a small independent website and ProBoard), my addiction to the internet and Youtube, a love of listening to music, watching films and also collecting old films on DVD. But I guess you want to know about the horror stuff. I'm not sure how it came about, but it did come young. I loved seeing a Gremlin explode in the Microwave in "Gremlins" as a kid and the horrors of the Gremlins in the Peltzer house! I guess the first taste though was a bizarre series of horror tales on VHS called Freaky Fairy Tales. I guess a horror take on old nursery rhymes? I don't really remember much, have only seen it once, (That time) but would love to see it again. I guess it's because I saw a number of Stephen King horrors as I reached my pre-teens - Carrie, Christine, The Shinning, Salem's Lot.. The last one having especially a profound effect on me. I went from reading "Choose your own adventure" books to Stephen King and then British horror author James Herbert. As a kid I remember putting wet toilet paper on my hands and/or arms trying to do monster make up - home made style, especially cuts and broken skin. So I guess horror had a profound effect on me! I found Freddy Kruger and become a massive Nightmare on Elm Street fan. I used to have a Nightmare on Elm Street 5 poster on my walls in my teens - my mother hated it but at least it kept her out my room! My favourite horror film of all time is the original Halloween, I won't get into why in my college years I got the nickname "Chucky"! I was almost tempted into starting a classic horror forum tonight, (Though I always swear never to make another Proboard, but end up doing so) and looked on Google. Didn't really find any I liked or were active so found this one in the advertising section.

Thanks all. Oh and the title comes because of seeing the 1984 Children of The Corn film when I was 10/11 years old, left a lasting impression/on-running joke between my and my sister because we both enjoyed it. We watched it together in the dark, parents were out, and it has always stuck with us both! Welcome! Ooh, a fellow artist, aye? Examples? I'm on DeviantArt with the same username, but it's mostly Photoshop stuff though. If you wanna browse through the galler, and ignore or the photoshop stuff there is some actual drawn stuff uploaded, but it's all old stuff. I should put more of that stuff up really. I've been drawing since I was a kid, copying from comics, sports caricatures from the back of local newspapers. it's been a life-long passion, though it's more of a hobby now. I started doodling again over the last 3 - 4 days but can't put any new stuff up yet as I'm trying to find a driver for my old flatbed scanner. Had Windows XP when I got it but am on windows7 these days.

Hmm, I thought Windows 7 would install just about anything. Pretty good with this type of stuff. If you give me the make and model of the scanner, I'll try to find drivers for you. If you want. Went by your DeviantArt page and your stuff is pretty cool. You should check out NDX's page on there, he has some good art up. He actually just did some stuff for me that I'm hoping to receive any day now. And, I love Children Of The Corn, can't believe it hasn't been discussed here yet. Anyway, happy Halloween to you, and remember to post in the Top 25 Horror Movies of all time thread. Gonna be really interesting to see what makes it in. horrorsonline.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=anything&action=display&thread=814

That Rodimus Prime is very Geoff Senior (no surprise there seeing where you're from). Also, saw Death's Head in your gallery. Nice. You can check out the stuff I do here: nexusdx.deviantart.com
If you're even interested in practicing your coloring skills on my line art, just ask.

Thanks. I'm trying to play more and more with shadows and contrast. But I've been slacking this week so far. Hope I feel good enough to at least do some work on the bus later today on the way to work.
