Going with the 78 version with Sutherland in it. He was awesome as was Jeff Goldblum. Plus the scene where the dog has his owners head, that was good stuff. Which one do you like better?

And an awesome avatar it has become. Thanks for the pic. just had to be the remake for me. Me too. It's just so...classic feeling. They could probably do it scarier today, but they'd lose the feeling this one has. The cast was perfect, great scary scenes to show the progression of the alien takeover, just a great movie. I didn't like the original nearly as much, and would probably feel the same about an updated version. This one is perfect.

The '70s remake all the way.
I mean, Spock is in this.
Great paranoia movie. Great group hysteria.
The movie just works. From start to finish. I love it. Makes for a great double feature with John Carpenter's The Thing. By the end of those two movies you won't know who to trust ever again?
The original would have been better if they just went with a darker ending.
