I'm a die hard Redskins fan. So I wasn't really pleased when I learned we had acquired Donovan McNabb as QB from the Eagles. I've rooted against that guy for years, and it just didn't seem right that all of a sudden he was our QB.
That, and I liked Jason Campbell. He didn't do very well under Jim Zorn, but I thought with Shanahan as our new coach, he may have gotten better.
Well, Campbell is now and Oakland Raider, so I guess we'll never know. But, looking at things realistically, McNabb wants to win as bad as the Washington fans do, and the guy does have an impressive resume.
I'm going to wait and see what happens, but I sure hope we have a winning team on the field this coming season.

I think he'll do OK in Washington. Shanahan is bring a different defense and has really beefed up the offensive line. If Zorn had done that I think Campbell would have been more productive. I wouldn't be surprised to see Campbell find some success in Oakland. They seem to focus on QB protection most of the time.
Like to see how the Redskins do in their first year under the new coach.

I think McNabb will do OK too, it's just weird rooting for a guy I've rooted against for so long. Him getting bad mouthed in Philly now that he's here is making it easier for me to get behind him though. Plus, being traded to a division rival was a total slap in the face to him, so you know he has something to prove when he gets out there.

Yeah, the Eagles basically said "we're not worried about facing you twice a year". After his history in Philly, I thought that was pretty crappy.

I guess that's how it is in the NFL. Love you one minute, could care less the next. I just hope he plays well for us.
