Ive plumped for the original. Im not denying that the remake was good (for a remake ) but I waited so long as a kid to see the original and the cover with the pic of Michael Berryman freaked me out and fascinated me!

To be fair, they could have been two different movies, rather than a remake.

I friggin' LOVE this remake. I think it's genuinely SCARY, something this jaded old horror fan says about very few films these days. When my wife and I saw it in the theater, we were literally gripping each other's arms during the trailer-invasion scene. I bit my nails during the whole movie so bad that when we left I realized I had drawn blood.
No kidding.

The scene where they burned the dad alive man, I had to take a break.

The 31 Nights of Halloween are coming, perfect timing I think.

Gotta find them first. I'm not one to watch stuff on the computer if I can help it. I usually just watch NXT and WWE PPVs.

I could help with that, if all you want is to see em.

I'm undecided.
There are things I like about the original, and there are things I like about the remake.
Hard decision for me. I've seen the original more recently, so, I'd have to rewatch the remake.
Beast is a beast in the original though.

After just having rewatched the remake with my girlfriend I'm gonna give the edge to the remake. Even though there are moments I much prefer in the original, like the dog scenes, the father mastermind in that one, and any scene with Michael Berryman in it, I have to still hand the win over to the remake. It's just grittier, more brutal, and plays out better.

one I will need to rewatch. I've definitely seen the first 2 original wise and possibly the first remake.
I do remember 2 things from the second. That is that one of the females played sherry palmer president Palmers wife and eventually ex wife in the TV series 24. Also a dog had a flash back

The original is another timeless grindhouse classic, while the remake just made me feel like I was looking at "The Happening" redone. Here's another one where I'll have to go with the original.

I'm still undecided as I've yet to see the remake, but I have plans to for October. Whether I get to them or not is another story.
