I love the premise to this film. It came on TV lastnight. The original, not remake.

I love the original, and even though I'm not a big Cage fan, I liked the remake too. The original almost has a Let's Scare Jessica to Death feel to it with the whole town knowing what's going on and luring the cop into their trap.
Both versions do, I guess. I just like the original so much more. But, like I said I do like the remake too.

I have yet to see it, though I'd really like to. You should, i reckon. Its just a cool ass storyline, and the ending is great! I love the original, and even though I'm not a big Cage fan, I liked the remake too. Theres only about 5 or 6 remakes which i consider worthy.

As a general rule I don't like remakes either. I thought the Cage version worked though for some reason. The original is on right now on On Demand, so I'll probably give that another watch later today.
To me, a remake should somehow improve upon the original, or why bother making it? And, I can't think of hardly any that were better than the original movie. The Carpenter version of The Thing comes to mind as one, but I'd have to do some thinking to name many more off the top of my head.

The Nic Cage one works if you look at it as a comedy.

Lol,that was funny. Never seen that before. Must be nice to get paid millions to over act in every movie you do. He and Jim Carrey should do a movie together, would be awesome watching them trying to top each other.
