Or it has to be something you MUST see, like we did the Evil Dead. Or we will with Maniac (89 min).

Those glasses cost a lot to borrow, Dave.

I'd kill for movies to be only $10, that's our matinee price!

They're paper and plastic. I used to get them free in horror magazines, now they jack my ticket price? Well, on the one hand, I wouldn't pay to see anything in 3-D. And on the other, Evil Dead was probably the last movie we'll see in a theater. I'd go see a movie on special occasions, but the wife and I talked, and for the money we'd rather Netflix them and watch them at home. I wish now that I had waited for Evil Dead on DVD, just to see it uncut.
I'm off theaters.

You know, I've felt like that for years. Tomas knows. But recently I've been loving seeing certain films on a screen bigger than my apartment. Some films just deserve that treatment. So I'm willing to give them that. But unlike my aunt, who sees at least 1 movie every weekend, up to 3 or 4 a weekend (I ish you not), I only go for ish I must see. So far, I've only seen 3 in theaters this year, and I only saw one of them because it was free. And I don't regret it.

It was nice, the atmosphere of seeing Evil Dead in the theater. Just getting lost in everything for 2 hours kind of helped me out. Not having to worry about bills or anything, just in another world. The pounding sound, the huge screen and the previews that somehow look so much better when you see them in the theater.
Then it was over and I vowed never to do it again...until next time. It was 7 years between next times on this one.

I just like to go out. A movie is the perfect excuse to get a group together. Plus depending on the theater you can do 2 or 3 movies in a day with no one the wiser (or just plain not giving a crap).

Now that would be pretty sweet. Seeing 2 or 3 for the price of one would make it seem like a real bargain, lol.

It's easy to get away with in the big multiplexes.
When I lived in Brooklyn there was a theater that did do 2 for the price of one. I was sad when it closed down.

It might work here if I went on a busy night, but I do the matinee when I rarely go, and 10 people just doesn't work, lol.

That poster does not look like it goes with the film. Very bad.
