I just got the entire original series on DVD. All 156 episodes and it's been a blast watching some of the episodes I had forgotten about.
About the only time it airs on TV is at 5 am on SyFy or the 4th of July marathon, so I haven't seen a lot of the episodes in some time. Really been a lot of fun re-watching this classic series.
My favorite episode at the moment is "and when the sky was opened" about three astronauts back on Earth after a space mission, and they start disappearing one by one. No one else notices, as if they never existed to begin with.
Great show!!

That's episode 42, called The Eye Of The Beholder.
Apparently these are being taken down, so don't wait too long to watch it. They already removed the one in my original post.

Yeah, lol. You can catch them most mornings at 5 am on SyFy, which is why I suggested setting your DVR. Then, there's usually the 4th of July marathon on SyFy. Or, you could go the torrent route and get the whole series.

Indeed Tony. And I agree Lee. The originals are much better than when they brought the series back and tried to update it.

Watching this now and apparently I can't post the video because of copyright issues, blah, blah blah.
But, this episode..."The Silence", is about a gentlemens club, not of the stripper variety, and a man that talks and brags all the time. A member who is well respected bets him $100,000 that he can't keep silent for 6 months. The man accepts the bet and they build him a glass room right in the club where he is to be watched and monitored 24 hours a day for the entire six months. The betters lawyer keep telling him this is a bad idea and questions if he can pay the man should he win the bet.
The six months pass and the man doesn't speak at all, even with the guy goading him about his wife spending time with other men etc.
When the six months is up, the man is let out of his room to collect his money at which point the better tells him he's a fraud and is broke to the shock of the other members. He apologizes and is humiliated and offers to quit the club. The man who hasn't spoken in 6 months is visibly distraught but still says nothing. The club members are encouraging him to speak and give the old guy hell for doing this to him. Finally he asks for a piece of paper and when he gets it he writes that he knew he could never stay quiet for six months, so before he arrived to enter the room, he had his vocal cords severed.
One of my all time favorite episodes, that revelation at the end was so freaking shocking. If you see it on, well worth a watch.

Never saw that episode. Man, that show was so ground breaking and ahead of its time. Netflix has the entire original series up for streaming, so I should definitely get to watching it.

Proof that things don't need to be over the top to be disturbing and scary.
