If you are an old school horror movie fan and you lived in the NY area in the 1960's, you will remember the "Cool Ghoul" Zacherle.
I have very fond memories of watching his antics and the weird characters on his show, not to mention waiting for that moment when he would show up in the horror movie he was showing that day. You might say he was the inspiration for the Crypt Keeper.
Here's an update on John Zacherle who at 94 years of age doesn't look any different than he did when I was a kid:HERE

Sweet. We had Dick Dyszel here in the MD/VA area. By day he hosted the kids shows as Captain 20, but on Saturday nights he hosted Creature Feature as Count Gore De Vol. Really fond memories of this guy, and waiting all day Saturday for Creature Feature to come on at 11. This is what got me hooked on horror at about 5, and I've loved it ever since.

We get this guy on the new ME-TV channel we get now on Saturday afternoons. I know he's been around forever, but I never got to see him until now. He's good in the role of horror host too.

Glad to see Ron Jeremy find work after porn.

Man, you did not just call SvenGoolie freaking Ron Jeremy. Svengoolie is taller and his movies don't make me vomit.

You're right. Ron Jeremy weighs less.

Well, hosting horror movies doesn't tend to lead to the same immunal deficiency issues that Ron's area of expertise seems to. I would imagine Svengoolie's health insurance is far less expensive as well, but that's neither here nor there.
