so if you watch this film when they have already broke into the house and she passes thru the hallway and as she crosses the doorway and she hers the piano play and freezes. the guy walks in passes a mirror that is set up in a way that it is very possible he could see her "doesnt show her in the mirror but its possible you could see her from an angle" the masked killer walks into the house facing the complete opposite direction and just walks in that direction giving her an oppurtunity to run and hide in the pantry holding her breathe the killer sits back down on the table in front of her... the tension builds its silent in the house you would be able to hear her heart the sort gasp of air, the killer stands walks towards the pantry pauses and walks out of the house allowing her "and you" to exhale in relief as the mask girl breaks thru the pantry scaring the crap out of you... but not realizing she was in the house the whole time he knew where you had been hiding. these people know every move your making just watching you squirm lol im a bit twisted

^^^^ completely agree, it made me hold my breath! see thats what I find terryfying. there really could be a psycho creeping through your house in the middle of the night with evil intentions. thats what keeps me awake at night. (or maybe Im just too familar with charles manson)

The thing that makes this movie disturbing is it could happen to anyone. This isn't Jason or Freddy who could only exist in a movie, this could be real. I think that's what disturbed me so much the first time I saw this. I've seen Last House on The Left, and I Spit On Your Grave, all of them. And even though I go in prepared. the sheer brutality people can unleash on other people always makes me...freak a little. For that, I like this movie. Not many that make me take a break in watching.

same here, gore splatter fests are all well and good, but at the same time you know that they are not real, could never happen in real life, and your completly safe from it. people killing you in your dreams??? scary yeah, but not belivable. But this... and like you say The Last House on the Left and similar types of films...... really could happen, and thats what makes them so brutal and unforgiving and hard to watch. The horror is real.

Hard tension.. the beginning when the guy breaks into the house and the girl is hiding or trying to hide is the best realistic situation ever

the one part that got me on the edge of my seat was where the 2 young kids were stopped and they took a leaflet off them. i thought they were going to kill them as well.

I did too Lee.
And Tony, I have got to see Hard Tension. Keep meaning to add it to the queue, but I keep getting sidetracked.
