Now that I think about it, I think I can send an e-mail to the address he signed up with, I just can't see that address. I like that Proboards set it up that way.
I guess I can't. I don't see that option now. Oh well, hope he pops back in at some point.

I know I'm arriving after the party is over, but I just noticed this thread and it got me thinking. Going old school... I would pit two dead men against each other, Frankenstein's monster and the Mummy because anyone else I can think of to go up against Frankenstein would lose. Here's my thinking on that: Dracula can only drain the blood from the living so he's no threat to a dead man. The Wolfman is also a living creature and can be killed... Same for the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Invisible Man, Phantom of the Opera & Mr. Hyde Zombies are technically dead, however they're pretty fragile, a good whack to the old mellon and they're gone Last dead man standing - I predict Frankenstein, I think he'd pulverize the brittle Mummy into dust.

Lol. I always wondered why so many people had trouble with the Mummy. How much can he do? He's 800 years old and already wrapped in bandages.

A lot of them have been decaying for a while, so squishier heads are a possibility. I also think after so many repeated stabbings, the people's arm strength just increased exponentially so they can stab easier.

What is this, the Z-Day Workout? Stab two three four! Decapitate two three four! Head shot two three four! Rule one! Get that cardio up or you're lunch meat fattie!

We should make it while zombies are still big business. Gotta use this damn camcorder for something.

Just wondering, it's been a few years since this was last posted in. Have you already done this, or has the idea disappeared? If the latter, I would just like to say that I think it'd be a great idea, pairing up two horror icons, and seeing which will win, and pairing up others, and then moving on and doing the same with those that remain, and so on, until there's just one standing.

No Diesel 11, it never happened. I'd still like to see it happen, but I'm terrible at setting things like this up. Was waiting for the OP to set it up but then he disappeared. If enough folks are into it and are willing to figure out how it should be done, I'm in. I say lets get a list of the horror icons to be included together and go from there. Michael Meyers Jason Vorhees Freddy Kreuger Leatherface Dracula The Wolfman Frankenstein The Mummy The Invisible Man.... Let's get a good list and then we can make a tournament/poll for the winners/winner.

If it helps, I would suggest we have a total of 32, as it's easier to do it that way. Also, there's a bunch lists out there with horror villains that are considered the greatest. Some that I can think of off the top of head are: Hannibal Lecter Regan Samara Chucky Ghostface The Blob Jaws Norman Bates Jack Torrence Pinhead Xenomorphs I'll try to find more later on. Also, perhaps some literary monsters, like Cthulhu could be added in...?

Literary monsters like Cthulhu might be OK, but I don't know if other, more obscure ones would be a good fit. I'll let others weigh in on that. Winter seems to be a slow time on the forum and it's rare that all of the regulars are on at the same time, so this might take a bit to get going. But, I'm excited that the gears are moving after so long. Love to see this tourney happen.

Returning to this, I'm thinking along the lines of 32 probably, and I think probably these would be good horror icons to include:
Candyman Jaws Chucky Pennywise Jack Torrance Norman Bates Hannibal Lecter Samara Jason Voorhees Freddy Krueger Ghostface Leatherface Jigsaw Regan Zombies Pinhead Frankenstein's Monster Dracula The Blob Godzilla King Kong The Wolf Man Cthulhu The Mummy The Invisible Man Mothra Ghosts Phantom of the Opera Count Orloc Annie Wilkes Carrie Christine
Also, if we do do this, would you mind if I hosted?
