So, I decided to check out my Creepshow comic today. I've had it forever, and I've read it a zillion times, but I still am struck every time I read it how good the stories are in it. Great art work by Bernie Wrightson in this as well. I would have loved to see this go on as a series of comics, but I guess without King writing it, it just wouldn't have been the same. Still love to read it, almost more than I like watching the movie.

Oh, just going through the book almost beats the movie just for the art. Wrightson did a great job on this. He's done a ton of work and I'm sure Scott knows his stuff. I didn't know until looking him up for this post that he did the art for Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King that went on to become the movie Silver Bullet. Great artist for sure.

Those look awesome. I wouldn't mind having those books if I ever have any money. Freak Show looks really cool.

That Creepy Presents book is the one I want most. I love the look of it. That and the Richard Corben books. And they are pretty cheap, and some stories are full color.

Bernie Wrightson = simply the best, IMO.
I have a copy signed to my son and me by George Romero. I'd love to get Wrightson and King (yeah, right) to scribble on it one day too.

I know a few years back, if you mailed a book to King and sent return postage he'd sign your book no problem. Don't know if that's still the case or not.

Now the goal is finding the book at a reasonable price. It's on my wishlist but it's more than I'm willing to pay right now. Shame, I want that Wrightson art.

I ordered a hardcover of Wrightson's FRANKENSTEIN book a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I haven't received it yet and had to file a complaint with Ebay. I really want that book, not a refund.

Yeah, it looks great. Hope it gets worked out for you. I've bought and sold on E-Bay for years and only had one issue where I had to have them step in. Hopefully it just got shipped late or something.

They pop up on E-bay from time to time Scott at decent prices. One is going for $26.00 now, but it's under 2 hours and people are bidding it up. link
