This series started by director Mick Garris featured hour long episodes by some of the biggest names in horror. Great series. You can read more about it and buy the boxed set here: www.mastersofhorror.net/Here's a clip of the show: Definitely worth checking out.

I don't think I had the channel this was on which is why I never watched it. Wasn't it on one of the premium channels?

I think it was a Showtime series. I remember watching a small handful of these when I was less of a horror fan, so not much to keep me around back then.

Never had Showtime, so that explains that. I remember wanting to check it out though.

I used to have Showtime, HBO and Starz. I sometimes miss those days, I really do. Just for HBO Comedy. I want my George Carlin, dammit!

This could have had more masters of horror, like Craven and Romero, to be honest, but this was a good enough series. I haven't watched every episode from the series, but I've watched a great deal.
My favorites being Chocolate, Cigarette Burns, Pelts, and Imprint.
Pick Me Up is a great premise, but somewhere along the way it just falls apart. Doesn't quite work for me as a whole, and I wanted it to work for me so badly.
One of my least favorites would have to be Deer Woman. I just was underwhelmed by Landis' output for this show. He did so well with An American Werewolf in London. His Fear Itself episode was better.
I remember when NBC aired Fear Itself, a spirtual spin off of this show, as a way to reach a wider audience. That show was pretty decent, considering it had to be more PG-13 and not R.
