After The Exorcist, what more could you do? Even for as old as it is, it's still never been topped in terms of possession films, and I don't think it ever will be.

A true masterpiece, nothing's ever going to come close to topping it.

Here's a pretty good review for this one. I think it looks pretty good, so I'll definitely be seeing it. "It’s remarkable that in a genre expressly designed to scare people, so few of its entries actually accomplish that goal. But The Conjuring absolutely does. Smarter and more consistent than all of the Paranormal Activity films put together, James Wan’s interim project between Insidious installments exudes both studio respectability and grindhouse urgency." So this took the top spot at the box office this weekend and a sequel has already been announced. I think it looks really scary, but I can see people not being interested in it. Especially when Paranormal Activity, The Last Exorcism, A Haunting in Connecticut, etc. have been pretty much crap.
I haven't seen this one, I'll be waiting for the DVD. But if you have seen it, would you see a sequel, or should they have left it at a one off?

I couldn't believe this took the top spot. Looks like we'll be stuck with haunting, found footage, and possession films for a while.

This is really getting good reviews man. I think it looks terrifying. I hated the Paranormal Activity movies for the most part, and there haven't been many found footage films I'd say I really liked. But this one looks really good to me, looks like they figured out how to do one right. My wife likes horror, but it's not her first choice for a movie. I asked her if she'd like to see this in the theater and she said it would be too scary to see in the theater, she wants to wait for the DVD, lol.
I'm looking forward to seeing it. I hope it's as good as it's been made out to be.

Looks boring to me personally, but I've always been more of a slasher fan anyway.

The Jump Scare Universe.
Not a bad series of movies, just predictable and not very original. Still effective every once and a while. Like the clapping game.

I fell asleep watching this one. I don't know why I even bother watching these types of movies anymore.
