The Zombieland TV series, a collaboration between Amazon Studios and Sony TV, is currently shooting and some pics from the set have surfaced. The series is set to star Kirk Ward as Tallahassee, Maiara Walsh as Wichita, Tyler Ross as Columbus, and Izabela Vodovic as Little Rock. More info on when this is supposed to start airing when it's available. Pics:

So, instead of a second film, you're giving us the initial show idea the first movie was based on?
Huh. Dunno how I feel about that. I really don't think anyone can match Woody Harrelson.

The cast really was great in that film. You really got to know and connect with them. Gonna be hard to identify with the same characters being played by different people. I'm usually not against it, but when a film is cast and acted that perfectly, it's hard not to compare. I'll still give it a chance though.

Same, I'll watch it, but I'll be critical about it.

That's just how it goes when you're passionate about something.
Just curious, is this supposed to be a comedy as well, or are they making it serious?

That I don't know. I'm sure more details about it will be coming soon.

Will we get Zombie Kills of the Week?

I would figure the movie being a comedy that the show would follow suit. Not always the case though, as Buffy the Vampire Slayer has shown us.

Buffy had its moments, though. I preferred Angel, anyway.

Never a fan of either show. We'll see how this one goes though. Guess they figure since Walking Dead is so huge, now's the best time to put this out.

I never liked Buffy. I only watched Angel because it was the only thing on when I was awake. Didn't care enough to read the comics after the show ended.

Better not go up against Walking Dead, cuz I know which one I'm watching in that case.

Well, I can tell you this, TWD gets 19 replays AND is on demand. So I can postpone that for a few hours IF this show runs up against it AND tickles my fancy.

True enough. I guess missing one episode of TWD to check this out won't be the end of the world considering how many replays it gets, and the fact that I'll be buying the box sets anyway. Still wouldn't be the best idea though due to TWD's fan base. Best to put it on another day and time to get more attention.

Yeah, avoid the weekend. Wednesdays are a good day for a new horror based show, I think. Hannibal is going to be on Wednesdays.
